Commencing July 13th and continuing through September, the new programs will include the Wilton Way of Cake Decorating Courses 1 and 2, and will
be an exciting addition to our class schedule.
We are excited to announce our new Wilton Way of Cake Decorating Classes commencing in July. The Wilton Way of Cake Decorating Course 1 is the
new class taking the place of Beginners Buttercream. The Wilton Way classes are perfect for beginners that want to start with the basics of
piping, making buttercream, baking the cake, leveling the cake, smoothing buttercream, and decorating with techniques that are easy to replicate
to get great results. Our novelty tin class is included in Week 5 of the class, to assist you with the hints and tricks for all of the 300+ novelty
tins to give you a large range of cake designs to choose from. Wilton Way Course 2 covers more buttercream piping, royal icing flower techniques,
basketweave around the sides of the cake and Colour Flow (flooding). Each of the Wilton Classes is accompanied by a decorating equipment kit as well
as the instruction manual for each of the techniques and projects taught in detail. Wilton Courses 3 and 4 will be on the schedule in Term 4.
In addition to the Wilton Way of Cake Decorating Classes, we will be increasing our Wilton range of products available in the shop. Wilton stock
will begin arriving in July.
We also have a great new range of Gluten Free Cake Mixes. The Chocolate Mud Cake Mix won the Gold Medal at the Baking Industry of Victoria Awards
and is positively yummy! There is also a Muffin Mix that is a great base to add fruit to as well as the All Purpose Cake Mix and the Sponge Pound
Cake Mix. We have heard great reviews of all of them and hope you will find them to be a great addition to your cake repertoire!
Our new range of natural colours are extracted from plants including concentrates of purple carrot, carrot, blackcurrant, hibiscus, safflower,
spirulina, lemon, pumpkin, fructose, sucrose, invert sugar, citric acid and water. For children that have a sensitivity to certain ingredients,
these new products will provide parents with much piece of mind. The colours can be stored at room temperature, however, storing them in the
fridge will extend their shelf life by years.
A reminder about parking: The front grate of the arcade is pulled at 5.30 pm most nights so that the shop can only be reached via the back
entrance. Parking is at the rear of the building, then come up the back stairs and into the classrooms and the shop. Be aware of where you
park during the day for classes, as the parking inspectors do check from time to time. If you are attending a day class, be sure to park in
the three or four hour areas to avoid a ticket.
We hope you have been enjoying reading the Chatterbox. As part of our environmental initiatives, we will be using the internet and email to keep
in touch and this means you will no longer receive the Chatterbox in the mail. So, to continue to receive the latest information on all the happenings
at Greensborough Cake Decorating Centre, please submit your email address either online via the website or drop it off the next time you are in the
shop. We will be sending out monthly specials and other sales information via email as well, so be sure to submit your email if you would like to
receive these special offers. If you genuinely do not have electronic access, please let the shop know so that we can still keep in touch should
you wish it. The other option is to collect your copy of the Chatterbox when you visit the shop.
After booking your place in a class or workshop, a deposit of 50% of the class fee is required to confirm your booking. All final payments of class
fees are due on or before the day classes commence.
A note regarding all inclusive workshops. All inclusive means that the cake, icing, board, instruction is included, but there may be tools that you
need to bring from home, example, rolling pin, spatula, piping tips, etc.
We are looking forward to an exciting Term 3 and look forward to seeing you in the shop very soon.
